Hi there :)
I recently made the transition from vegetarian to vegan realising being a vegetarian didn't go far enough...compassion cannot be selective to one group of animals, it has to cover them all and also include the environment.
Here at the southern tip of Europe it is very difficult being a vegan, we don't even have a decent health food shop, let alone any solely vegetairan/vegan cafes. There are two shops that sell a very small range of vegan products (thankfully). However, I feel very alone as there are hardly any other people who share similar beliefs to me in this area.
My hubbie has been very supportive and in the house has adopted my vegan diet as well, so I'm lucky there. I started a blog (Vegan Dreamer on wordpress & FB) of my journey of discovery, I'm finding out new things everyday by reading the books I've bought, online websites and I'm going to the UK soon so will be keeping a record of the wonderful places that I have already researched to visit.
Kindest regards to you all,
Rebecca :)
