snack ideas??

I usually have some sort of snack in between lunch and dinner while I am still at work to hold me over until dinner time because I generally don't eat dinner until 7pm.  I am getting so bored of my "normal" choices, any one have good ideas?  Something that is easy and I can eat at work while on the computer.  Thanks!!  P.S. I am not really a nut fan, so something that doesn't include nuts.

I am obsessed with veggie chips at the moment.  I get them at a local healthy grocery store called "Earth Fare" so they are freshly made.  Earth Fare's vegetable chips have "sweet potato, squash, carrot, taro, green bean, non-hydrogenated canola oil, dextrin, sea salt.  I find them to be very filling and my 20 month old loves them too!  I have to make myself stop at "one serving" which is about 1 cup... I could eat the whole container in one sitting.

I think a more superhero version of this would if you baked them yourself or another good snack is some raw veggies with some hummus (homemade if you can).  hope this is helpful :)

I'm a dip freak...salsas, hummus....you can dip almost anything!  Pita, crackers, veggies...yum!  Salsas and hummus are also super simple to make, too, which is awesome!

I'm a dip freak too. yummmm on the hummus. What about fruit (fresh or dried--I love dried apricots, figs and prunes), or fresh bananas, pears, apples, etc. If you want to do it superhero dehydrators are awesome and will dry up your fruit without any extra sweetners or preservatives.

Also try some Vegan granola bars/snack bars at the health food store.

Kale chips are good too! Homemade ones ROCK! :)

thanks guys! Hummus is one of my "normal" snacks, and I needed a change up.  I actually inherited a food dehydrator from my mom, so I have been wanting to make fruit roll ups with it.  But  thanks for some ideas!  :)

A  small handful of dried fruit and nuts keeps me going. it satisfies my need for crunchy and sweet. pair it with a cup of green tea and i'm good! you can leave out the nuts and still satisfy a sweet tooth!

Cut up fruit or veggies dipped in peanut butter (i assumed you only wanted a change from whole nuts) Ranch dip for your veggies, too. A Luna or Cliff Bar w/soy, rice, almond, etc, milk. Peanut butter (almond butter or cashew butter) w/naturally sweetened fruit spread on whole wheat bread. Veggie cream cheese w/fruit spread (jelly or jam) on bread. Bean salad or a green salad that has lots of legumes. Bring in a homemade sandwich spread (like the UnTuna one or a seitan one), keep it in the refrigerator & use it as a dip for those mini pitas that WF has.....hope this helps

I rarely snack during the day (as my typical vegan meals are quite filling enough :) gotta love fiber) but when I do it's normally dried or raw fruit, no-salt nuts, hummus with either veggies or Kashi crackers (high protein and fiber!). If it's a craving for something sweet I might have "I.M. Healthy" vegan chocolate soy nut butter (soynutbutter.com) on a Wasa cracker.

Here's a yummy snack I love

- one serving unsweetened Almond Breeze chocolate milk

-one banana

put in VitaMix,make a smoothie.YUM

I generally only eat healthy food so no cakes, biscuits etc, Hummus with any veggie to dip is a good one, if you have a dehydrator or can be dehydrated raw snacks such as raw crackers, kale chips etc then these are good snacks.

If later on after dinner and im a little hungry and craving food ill have a handful of dried fruits such as goji berries or incan berries. Help balance my blood sugar, cravings and are healthy.

Also my most common snack is probably fruit. Handful of nuts or seeds also can be good.

My family think I'm a weirdo cause I sit and eat raw baby spinach as if they were potatoe chips.  I also love dried fruit and nuts, and rice cakes help me with that night time salt fix I want at times.  Love kale chips as well!  Also like to cut cauliflower into smal flowerettes, and coat with nutritional yeast and a seasonings of choice, shake up in a zip loc bag and eat like popcorn!
