SO tired!

I've been virtually vegetarian for the past year or so and have been turning more toward veganism over the last few months.  These past few weeks I have been so tired.  I'm taking a multivitamin, but I'm wondering if I need to be taking any extra supplements too.  Maybe I need to eat a certain type of food more?  Any advice would be appreciated.

Are you taking B 12 and possibly an iron supplement or foods with iron in them? That might be the issue. HTH

If someone who changes their diet feels tired after a while it is logical to want to know why. The more common reasons people take iron and B12 is for anemia. Having anemia could make someone tired but so could a lot of other things.

Anyone who suspects anemia should really just go get a blood test. It is simple and inexpensive and knowing something like that is important. You certainly can take extra iron for a while until you get the test. If you take it and feel better, you may have your answer as well.

You could also try superhero for a bit to see if that helps.

I transitioned to vegan a couple of months ago, felt great the first week, but then my low energy came back.  I was so bummed because I thought I had finally figured out my brain fog and tiredness.  I stumbled onto some info about raw veganism a couple of weeks ago, and I have been encorporating some more raw foods into my diet and I feel great!!!!  So much more energy, so it might be something to look into!  Goodluck

Hello Friend,

I think the simplest way to sort out this problem is you should it more fruits & drink juice & milk.If you do it as a regular basis i think you will not need to have any extra supplements.

Are you eating lots of processed/heavy grains? im looking into Raw foods and have started eating heaps more fresh fruit and veges. my energy skyrocketed after 2 days. So maybe try eating less heavy foods and see if that helps??
