Anyone live in this area and know of any vegan support groups, grocery stores, restraunts, cooking classes, etc.....

I am very new to this lifestyle, in fact have not been able to completely start living it yet but I am trying.

HI Shannon!  I to am VERY new to all this and still in the learning phase. I haven't had meat since Sunday (After Watching Food Inc) so very new. I was totally freaked out and I've been a beef eater my entire life. Anyway I'm about 3 hours away in Springfield Mo. so kinda in your area, Whole Foods maybe a good start, maybe?

I am going to trader joes in stl tomarro! I heard that is also a great place! I have been to Whole foods before  but I wont be able to visit often, we live an hour at least from stl. We started last tuesday , but so far so good! Thanks

My husband just said I bet its even harder for you living close to Lamberts the restaurant. That was good food! (but nasty) LOL

I live in north St. Louis county. I go to the Ferguson farmers market, Soulard. I also shop at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's in the Brentwood area. I'm looking forward to the outdoor markets opening up soon. You might try Googling slow food, farmers markets, co-ops etc. in your area. Maybe I'll see you around!

I went to Trader Joes today and it was amazing, the people were so friendly. I have heard good things about soulards farmers market. I live about an hour adn half from stl so its hard to get out there alot but every once in a while is good! TY
