Storing Grains/Beans/Etc

What type of containers do you store your pasta/grains/beans in?  I don't know if I should get glass jars with screw on lids or plastic with the screw on lids.

Thanks for your input :)

Hi Mary,

I really like the website reuseit.com or the container store.  They have lots of options if you want to buy containers.  I prefer the glass, airtight containers, but they are heavy and would break if dropped.  I store dry goods like nuts and seeds in leftover glass jars (like from pasta sauce), but have bought bigger ones for grains and beans.  I make a big batch of beans and store cooked beans in glass canning jars in the freezer.  Good luck!

Some BPA-free plastic ones are probably best since they won't break. But Katherine's right, you should reuse your glass ones too. I actually wanted to treat myself and bought a plastic set from Bed Bath and Beyond with one of their 25% off coupons.

Does BB&B have BPA-free plastic containers?
