Oh my goodness that is awesome!! So happy for you and your family :)

WOW! That's such an incredible story! To be able to involve so many people in such an amazing way. Thank you for sharing, and all the best to vegan future!

This is beyond awesome...Just looking at Cyle's picture you can see how truly thrilled he is about the changes his family has made.

It is so wonderful that his family was receptive to the information...people have to be ready and willing to listen or change will not happen.  I am a Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist and have the same frustrations many of you have in that my own parents (overweight, diabetic, high blood pressure) are not ready to "hear" how beneficial this way of life could be for them.  My mom is ready, but my father is so against it that it hampers her ability to move forward.

I have been toying with the idea of gifting them a trip to True North.  Maybe we could do a mother/daughter trip and then dad will perhaps jump on the vegan bandwagon :-)

Congrats Cyle!

Yayyyyyyy!!!!!  Congrats to Cyle and his family!!!  Now, if only my family were ready to change their diet... by the way, do you have any tips on how to encourage dietary change, Cyle?

dear cyle, you're so brave to have shared your story with alicia!  i, too, wish to share my story, but i want to wait until i've experienced one year and six months of good health.  i want credibility before blabbing to someone like her!

i was bulimic for 11 years, and my dog, gwendolyn, saved my life on independence day in 2010.  it's been 1 year, four months, and four days of wonderful, healthy, happy health.  alicia's kind diet (and now life), my dog, and yoga are huge roles in my overcoming the disease.  everyday is a battle, and everyday is better than the last.

your story has brought tears to my eyes!  i hope that my family will one day realise what yours has.  thank you for sharing this wonderful story. xxx

this is really inspiring.although, i think going vegan should be a choice made for health and not just weight loss considering a lifestyle can end type 2 diabetes. thanks for sharing!!!

Love this story, and also the comments! Its so great seeing the proof of 'you are what you eat'. Congrats to the family, its such an inspiration.

Cyle, it is so inspiring to hear how great you and your family are doing since becoming vegan!!  I was wondering what the name of the clinic is that your uncle went to??? I live in CA and would love to know the name so I can look into possibly going myself.

P.S. Thanks Alicia for posting his story!

Congratulations, Cyle, to you and your family!!  I'm so happy for all of you and I think you are all so amazing!  I'm overjoyed to hear of all of the benefits, that you all have enjoyed, with going/being vegan.  I always love the positive energy, going out to the world, about being vegan.  You seem like a really great representative to spread the word....keep up the great work!

I need to move my life into a healthier direction for so many reasons.  Stories like this, Cyle, are so inspiring!
