success story: karly’s eye-opening research paper

so inspiring! thanks for sharing karly!

this is so interesting - lots of my friends have ADD. i'm definitely going to share this with them - very encouraging!

Good for you Karly.

ADD is often cause by food sensitivities, especially milk and gluten. Unfortunately most doctors still turn to medication before considering diet.

Basically some people can't break down the proteins in milk and gluten properly which can lead to allergic response and peptides with opiate like properties getting to the brain.

Milk and grains are relatively recent additions to the human diet and that 75% of the worlds poplation are lactose intolerant. Of those that can tolerate lactose around 3% to 5% have diagnosed sensitivities other milk proteins and more probably have undiagnosed sensitivities. So it's not surprising that these foods can have an impact.

I will definitely keep an eye out for any of Karly's updates. I posted on TKL forum a couple months ago about my frustration of a lack of info on ADD and veganism. There's pretty much no info on this coupling at all. I was diagnosed with ADD early last year and I too was releived but also very frustrated and angry over pretty much a lifetime's frustration of knowing something was wrong but never being able to prove it. I thought for sure I'd be able to find info on ADD and veganism but there silence. So thankfully for TKL I can start learning from other ADDers here, what is working for them, and hopefully TKL can get more ADDers on board soon so we can help eachother.

Arg, I meant releived but also disheartned as well. It's all very overwhelming and you have to muster strength to deal with it.
