what about EatPastry vegan cookie dough--- made with organic fair trade evaporated cane juice and light brown sugar? still too sugary to taste? even for lil' ol' me???

I am right there with you Alicia!!  I am a sugar addict!!  I know exactly what it's going to do to me but I can't help myself...as I'm eating it my mind is telling me I should stop and I'm going to regret it but I eat it anyway!  I wish there was some way I could keep it out of my life but I'm clueless!!  What got you away this time?  Any tips you use would be sooo appreciated!!!
alicia, try stevia in liquid form. it comes in different flavors too. you can sweeten a wide variety of things with it. then there's xylitol. you can even bake with it. refrain from putting xylitol in your drink though or you will find it has a strong laxative affect. i hope this helps. i'm a hard core sugar addict and found these helped me greatly. good luck. much love, anna
I would definitely join sugar-holics anonymous. I am a sugar addict as well and would also love some tips! Like you stated I dislike to consequences but that does not seem to stop me from eating it. Help!!!

I'm a sugar-holic too!  Transitioning to a vegan diet has been pretty easy for me, but sugar is still a problem.
I, unfortunately, am right there with you.  I can eat SUPER DUPER healthy for the entire day, and then I decide I MUST bake vegan cookies.  Ugh...it possess me.
I am a sugar addict! It is very difficult especially @ monthly cycle. I am thinking about ordering pure maple sugar candy and try that and see if it can get me off sugar for a while....It's amazing how easy it is for me to be a vegan but how hard it is for me to be a non sugar eater!!!!!

I am right there too!  Being Vegan is no problem, but the Sugar and I cannot part ways.

i sometimes slip but i try remember how bad it is for me (pulls minerals from your bones etc) but i still end up eating the stuff anyway- like you said cause its vegan--e.g. i got some vegan cupcakes from a bake sale where they had proceeds towards an "save animals" group.
its bad for you but that doesn't always stop me, cause i just go, screw it, specially when im with non vegans im trying to help transition-- who are trying out those vegan transistion foods.
keeping a good supply of healthy sugarless foods helps me keep away from the sugar addiction- alot of the time i just do it when im hungry. eat some grains or soemthing instead----people may think they crave sugar when they're actually just craving carbs.
alicia, this is another giant step forward. probably not as big as becoming vegan but for your health just as important. sugar is a baddie! check the ingredients in processed foods and you'll be shocked by how many contain added sugar.

I completely hear you! I am a major sugar addict.  One thing that has helped me has been transitioning to eating vegan. Most of my favorite sugary treats are made with dairy or made my Mars Co (marscandykills.com), and somehow my compassion for animals trumped my sugar cravings. Nonetheless, I simply can't have just one vegan sugar-covered treat, I always start with just a nibble and eat it until I feel guilty or even sick! 
People don't often talk about feeling hooked on sugar and wanting to stop eating it-- I think a support group is a great and much needed idea!!
NEW YORK!!!! REALLY!!!!i went up north this one time and they dont even sell SWEET TEA!!!!! i know that may sound weird for some ppl but being from the south where we are known for sticking WHOLE BAGS OF SUGAR in some koolaid i just cant believe it was THAT bad!!!! i dont event think that we have ANY place down here that refrains from using less than 3 bowls of sugar in ANYTHING!!!! if we do they are in hiding....scared of being boycotted by us sugarholics!!! but i feel you one the first excuse!!! for the pass few months i have been cutting down the sugar intake significantly!!! but i am having the with draws.....sugar craving....right now i am eating a bowl of cereal....corn flakes with sugar (soy milk)......then earlier i had a spinach salad....with HONEY!!!! OMG i got it bad i till you!!!!
