Sushi?

I saw Alicia just uploaded a picture of vegan sushi and wondered if any of you had any recipes for sushi.

Sushi was my absolute favorite food and I wondered if anyone had any tips or recipes.

In the book "Skinny Bitch in the Kitch" there is a recipe for sushi, and explains it pretty well, it makes it really easy!  My husband and I spent a night making them together it was a lot of fun!

I made sushi the other night, and used wild rice(it was nice and sticky). For filling I had avacado, yam, cucumber and carrot. It was sooooo good:) Some recipes call for adding japanese rice vinegar, sugar and salt. I made mine with just plain rice, and it turned out well..... but it might be even better with the vinegar etc! haha... Good luck :)

I'm lazy and do a kinda sushi roll. Instead of using sticky rice, I just add ume vinegar to brown rice and chill. Not the same and not as stiff but quick and yummy.

I used some fresh avocado, ginger, cucumber and sesame seeds and just wrap it up with some rice in seaweed. For a 'twist,' I'll use a kale leaf instead of seaweed.

A place near us makes delish tofu and avocado sushi!  We love it!  Sweet potato sushi is usually good too or just plain avocado, yum!  Now I'm craving it!

not just a recipe but the show you how!

Wrapping in kale is a good idea!  I'm very sensitive to seaweed (iodine sensitivity) and am allergic to seafood, so I've never tried it...but I think it would be fun to make it with rice, avocados and kale!

in veganomicon there's a bomb recipe for spicy temeph roll... basically you use a hot sauce, like saracha and veganaise with tempeh... i can post recipe later if anyone is interested.

Whole Foods sells some great brown rice and avacado ones I am totally addicted to.

I do raw sushi and it is incredible.

turnip rice -in a food processor add turnip and 2 tsp apple cider vinegar until rice like

roll avocado, "rice", carrot, cucumber and whatever else you want in a nori sheet. Very filling and really tasty
