the eco friendly diaper...
I am so excited you posted this! I was just talking to my mother about how I would want to use cloth diapers the other day. I was trying to find information on how effective it really was but didn't have much luck. So this is awesome! Thanks!
I used Cloth for both my children (now ages 16 & 11).  It was not always easy, but I felt so much better knowing that I was not making them sit in a plastic diaper, full of chemicals all day.

Oh my these are so cute I wish they had these when my daughter was born.

I will say this I did use Dydee Dypers for about 6-8 mos. smiley-innocent.gif

It's a little bit more work but you save a lot of money in the end too! My parents used cloth diapers for both me and my brother back in the 80's!
I actually just saw the seventh generation diapers at HEB yesterday... there was a $4 off coupon making them the same price I was planning on paying for diapers. So I bought a pack & LOVE them! Need to stock up while they still have the coupons.
I have used clothe diapers with my 1 year old since she was 2 months old. We LOVE it! I wish I would have know more about the NEW cloth diapers when I had my first 2 kids. They are very easy to use and I love the fact that I don't have to buy diapers anymore!
I used cloth with my daughter and loved it so much I'm still holding on to some cute blueberry diapers even though she's been potty trained for over a year.
I used Bum Genius 2.0 One Size diapers when my daughter was an infant/toddler until my husband and I separated. I wasn't really able to keep up with the extra laundry required after that as a single mom juggling work and school obligations.

I'm contemplating going back to cloth now that she is potty learning and having a bit of a hard time with it, but the laundry is still an issue with my limited time.
Wow!  I just got an education in elimination communication!  That sounds like the coolest thing in the world!  Your child has basic instincts just like us adults do and can tell you when he/she needs to go to the potty!  At as early as 6 months-- sounds like a great idea to me!
I have been using cloth diapers on my daughter since she was born almost 17 months ago.  I love them! I think they are even easier than using the disposables! We have saved so much money by using the cloth diapers and cloth wipes (I wash them myself), it amazes me that more people don't try them.  I did a lot of research before deciding on what type and brand I wanted to use (started with gDiaper covers with cloth inserts, now using Thirsties covers with cloth inserts), this article is great.  I have never had any problems with leaks or rashes and my daughter is actually starting to tell me when she wants to be changed since she can actually feel when she is wet (unlike with the disposables).  They are just wonderful!  Thanks for helping to spread the word :)
adorable!! 10 years ago cloth diapers were boring boring boring!!
These are the cutest cloth diapers I've ever seen - wish they were around when my children were babies. I tried the traditional cloth diapers with my first child and it was a nightmare! After a week I switched to disposable diapers. If these were around back then I think I could have stuck with it. They are so cute :)
Can someone tell me how the eco-friendly pads work?
