I don't usually do meat imitation products. But I wanted to try something a little different and bought Tofurky and O..M....G....!
Totally loved it.... I hope I don't get hooked.

I had Ezekial bread, put tofurky, mixed greens, mustard, avacado and tomato. It was SO damn good..... mmmmmmm
Others might like veganaise. I hardly used mayo in the past, but I imagine veganaise would make it tons better.
Which form did you buy? They make lots of stuff...I just tried the Tofurky Keilbasa in our Cajun Red Beans and Rice and it was pretty good! Oh, and they make PIZZAS now! With Daiya cheese! YUM!
Weird, your second post didn't show up until I posted. Anyhoo, so it was the lunchmeat then? Good to know, 'cuz I was kind of afraid to try that. :)
Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize they make several products. I do mean the lunchmeat. Yes, it was so good, it was the hickory smoked one I believe. I didn't try it alone to know if i like it alone, but with the sandwich, wow!
I will look for the one you tried! How funny that I was craving keilbasa yesterday! Well, not craving, but feeling sad I can never have it again. And... sometimes posts don't show up until I post too. Strange! lol.
I know it's naughty, but I'm going to get the Tofurky "feast" for Christmas and cook it up. I love their products!
Hi..
What is the Tofurky Feast? At my local store when you spend so much money in a time period you can either get a free turkey, ham, lasagna or Tofurky for thanks giving. I was shocked to see that on my receipt the other night since it is the first time they offer it. But have not seen it or really know what it is other than the lunch meat or t products listed avove. Is it a Tofurky breast? Thanks

This is what is included in the Tofurky "feast".
Hi Dani,
You are always so informative and I read alot of your post and learn alot. I especially like your comments recently about vaccinations. But anyway I will definately get the Tofurky option at my local store for the holiday. Also maybe you have some info on my last post regarding Earth Balance and Canola Oil. Thanks so much!
Awww...thanks! I only know a lot about the vaccines because the current project I'm working on at work right now with some of our Physician Champions is about vaccinations. As far as the canola oil/Earth Balance debate goes, I really don't have much of an opinion. I use Earth Balance, and I use Canola Oil, but both are only on occasion. Earth Balance is mostly to bake with. I also use their soy free version, because soy bothers me at times. I really can't help you with that question. But yeah, we bought our Tofurky feast at Whole Foods a couple of weeks ago and have it in the freezer awaiting the big day!
Yes I also use the soy free earth balance and love it. Anyway thanks for responding and have a great holiday and enjoy your feast!
I don't eat lunch meat often, but when I do, I really love the Tofurky Peppered Deli Meat. I know that it's processed, but it is great for an occassional sandwich. I add a little veganaise, fresh spinach, sliced tomatoes on pumpernickel breat. Very good.
I recently made my own chipotle "mayo" and I put it on bread with the tofurky for a quick meal.
btw, anyone buying tofurky for thanksgiving?
I didn't make it for Thanksgiving, but last night I baked my first Tofurky roast. Wow! REALLY good! It tasted just like a remember turkey tasting. It's been 3.5 years since I've had real turkey, though, so I convinced my carnivore husband to try a bite to see if I was right. He said it tasted more like turkey loaf, but agreed it was pretty good. Really salty, though. I don't use much salt in my cooking and am not used to it - but it was a really good, once-a-year substitute. (It made for a good leftover sandwich for lunch today, too!)
Rekabeka-Agreed! We bought the Tofurkey Roast for Chrsitmas dinner for me to have at family gatherings-so good! I guess it also came with a vegan gravy recipe, which was deelish! I guess I have missed gravy. In the same boat, try to not eat processed food, but once a year seems okay. My husband also loved it!
