Only thing is I am in a small town in the UK and wondering if the brands featured in the book are available over here or if I should just get the closest thing?

Hi I'm also from the UK and I think a lot of the brands are very difficult to buy, especially most of the vegan desserts but there's a really good online health store called goodnessdirect and you can find a lot of things on there.. including nutritional yeast and brown rice syrup.

I hope you find this helpful :) I'm currently living in China, aka vegan no mans land so I'm being as vegetarian as I can and just ignoring the chunks of meat that seem to appear in my otherwise lovely plate of vegetables!

I live in the UK too and know what you mean about some of ingredients. One site I would recommend to you is the one for vegetarian living magazine, as well as the publication itself. In their most recent issue they even had a conversion table of american to english ingredients. I've made some of the recipes in the kind life, and find you can easily make substitutions for ingredients you can't find,  but I would suggest trying the smaller independent health food shops as they seem more willing to source things for you. Hi Kymm, I'm the the UK too (Durham nr Newcastle) as well as goodness direct you could also try iherb.com which do international shipping. They sell many of the items in the book, I just ordered ume vingear, brown rice syrup and some vital wheat gluten to make seitan. The shipping costs are a bit steep but I don't min forking out for good food!
