That looks so fun...I wished I could go, but the kids are out of school for the summer, so it is time to focus on them :-)

ooh! that'd be so fun, but I'm in NorCal (Bay Area)... and don't think I can get to LA this summer..been fully raw since last September and loving it. But I still don't do a lot of "uncooking" on my own, I buy most of my products.. however, I do have a few raw "cook"books and summer might be the perfect time to get into those!
AWESOME. I teach raw food classes in Michigan. It's wonderful to know more and more classes are being taught out there. : )
i wish wish wish i lived in the states!!! RAW food classes are quite expensive in Australia!!
These classes sound great. I'm near Boston and go to Warren K's classes. He has one coming up summer desserts and beverages. Cooking classes are a great way to become comfortable and fluent in the kitchen. I love them.
When I was a child I used to cook cakes and now I know a few easy recipes but I've never really cooked myself food, I think it's not a natural thing for me, I never eat steak because I have a hard time cooking them, they are always calcined... I certainly plan to start making myself vegan recipes when I order your book, I think I can learn, I made a very good meatloaf (I made two catastrophic attempts before succeeding) and a shepherd pie with a friend a few weeks ago, also in the past weeks I started making myself pancakes using a commercial powder to which you just add water, I manage to cook them correctly now so it's a start...
I don't know if a cooking class would help me, I never tought about that, in any case I'll probably start with easy recipes and gradually raise the difficulty level...
I'm looking for RAW food classes in Santa Fe. Any suggestions?
Does anyone know if someone has classes in the Southwest Missouri? I would like to go to one.
LOL@raw-curious: That'd be me :)
Wish they would film it and put it online! I’m in Michigan and we don’t have a lot of options here :(
I have always been intrigued by the raw food trend and wanted to jump on board. I'm thinking I'll have to try and come up with some good raw recipes now to see how it works out. I'm going to the farmer's market tomorrow. Any suggestions of where to start for a raw meal?
agh. it is soooo painful that I live in the middle of Maine. I would totally go to this class. I'm gluten free and my vegan adventure has been a hard one :/ I think this would make it easier. Does this woman have a website or a book with recipes we could try?
Again, it isn't fair that there are so few classes like this in NYC (if any!)
Can anyone do some research to find something similar for us Eastcoasters? I took 1 Vegan cooking class but haven't seen any others listed so perhaps you could find some for us - and for other states as well? That would be a beautiful and tasty treat!
Katie,
My sister lives in central Maine and she and my mother attend a raw foods class there. If you want, I can give you her contact information... Let me know,
Yvette
I don't get it. One of their cooking demonstrations has crab meat in it. Are they vegan or what?
