Work Out DVD's

Does any one have any reccomendations for work out dvd's? I've been alternating between two (a tae bo dvd and a variation dvd), but want to try something else to mix in a couple times a week.

I've been eyeing the Jari Love w/o dvd's, but not sure about them...Has anyone tried them?

I'm looking for something that's a total body work out, although any suggestions would be appreciated!

I just bought a countour kettlebell made by vegan fitness trainer Bob Harper...With the kettlebell came a dvd for a 30-minute workout and let me tell you...the first time I got through maybe 7 minutes before I had to stop!  The first time took me almost an hour to get through and it kicked my a$s!  I absolutely love it though, and it really does work your entire body!  The 7-pound kettlebell and dvd was like, $25 at Target...I totally recommend it!

I really want to try out the kettlebell workout! I heard it torches calories, and sculpts the body, fast!

I love DVDs by theFIRM, they kick my butt and I burn between 370-600 calories with their 30-60 min. DVDs. I get them for cheap at Target and TJMAXX.

Also, a good way to "try them out" before putting money down for them is if you have Netflix...you can get almost ANY workout dvd on Netflix...if you like it, you know you can buy it!  If there was one you were dying to try and then you rent it and don't like it...you didn't spend money buying it so it's no real loss!  I like doing this when I see one that looks interesting...before I buy it.

Bob Harper has great workout DVDs, and the kettlebell workout is fantastic workout! Also, another good way to try them out is to browse your local library. My library doesn't have a ton of workout DVDs, just one shelf worth, but it's a great way to keep my workout fresh and to keep challenging my body. Plus, it's free!

I bought Kettlenetics which is a kettle bell workout and the bell is included in the pack. It comes with about 6 different workouts. I also have Tracy Anderson's Mat Workout and her Post Pregnancy Workout. They are both totally amazing.

bikini revolution is amazing!!! theres 3 dvds cardio, sculpting, and yoga.  Ive also heard zumba is really good. I plan on getting it for my wii

Jillian Michaels, 30 day shred, 20 minutes, works you hard, its great! (Claire, new vegan in Scotland,) Also! Just Dance 2 for the WII kinda rocks my socks :)

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies! I've ordered a couple dvd's from amazon this week. I'll update when I get them of how they are.

I second Dani's kettlebell from Bob Harper with the DVD combo .  I bought it this weekend at Target and tried it out for the first time last night....oh....my....I am soo sore today, and the sad part is that I only got through 10 minutes of it!!  But I really love this workout, and I feel it from head to toe.

Also, there have been studies about kettlebell workouts, and since it incorporates weight training with cardio, the effort, heartrate, calories burned, etc. is similar to running 6 miles per hour, and you can burn around 300 calories for a 25-30 min session.

I agree with Claire! Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred its quick and very effective!

My whole family is doing it! Feb is the month of shred. smiley-laughing.gif

I second Bob Harper's DVDs as well. I bought his latest series last month and they are really good. Tough, but good. I also have Kettlenetics, Tracy Anderson and Jillian's 30 Day Shred, which totally kicks my booty! I have heard good things about P90X, but have not tried it myself. BTW, TRAC W and Dolores K love your photos. I have two choc labs. :)
