I have to mention my new favorite purse.  It’s the all-vegan Picnic bag in Cream by Amber Pollard.

Amber Pollard is a handbag designer, and just made each of her bags available in vegan materials!  It’s made of hemp, and it’s so chic.  I imagine Kate Moss wearing it.

This would make a great, super nice gift either from a very loved one to you....or as  very generous gift from you to a loved one.

You can check out Amber’s great bags HERE.

I also wanted to let you all know about these bags I found that you can use for grocery shopping, weekend trips, or pretty much anything.  They are called the Eco-Weekender Bags by Gecko, and are groovy in so many ways.

First of all, they are all handmade by disabled and disadvantaged women in Cambodia.  By selling these bags in the US, these women are guaranteed work. They are made from recycled feed and rice bags, and lined with super soft, 100% organic cotton.  And so reasonable!  They range from $25.00-$36.00.  Not only are you getting a super cute bag that you can use for just about anything, but you’re also helping out these Cambodian women.

I like the Eco-Weekender Two Pocket Tote, the Eco-Weekender Recycled Koren bag, and the Eco-Weekender Recycled Market bag.  Bags that are kind to the planet, help out women in Cambodia, and cute!

What are your favorite shopping/travel bags?

Awesome Vegan Shoes can be purchased from Moo Shoes in NY, or on their website: www.mooshoes.com

I love my Trader Joe's shopping bags.

My favorite bags are Baggu bags that are available online.  They come in lots of colors, are inexpensive, hold a lot of groceries, and fold neatly into a small tote.
I got an envirosax shopping bag for christmas. They come in cute colors and patterns and roll up to where they fit even in the smallest of purses! So I am never without at least one bag! :D
I love love love 'Matt & Nat' & Samsara (by Matt & Nat) ... Canadian luxury, eco friendly, vegan handbags & accessories!
Made of all vegan products plus linings & shells are made from recycled plastic water bottles (there is even a msg inside each bag letting you know exactly how many bottles were recycled - which adds a special touch)
For Samsara... for every bag sold, one dollar is donated to a non-profit organization of your choice at the end of the season. Total amount of $45,705 for 2009.
So good and beautifully designed! The story of how the both started up are cool too... check them http://www.mattandnat.ca http://www.sam-sara.ca/

Hmmm love that purse! I have an every day purse made from hemp, but need a fancy one for dinners and events.

Forgot to mention there are amazing bags and stuff over at http://www.ecobags.com

I always bring an ecobag with me whenever I go out to shop for clothes or groceries. It's nice to see the big malls here in our country, Philippines, having the initiative to encourage Filipinos in using ecobags. They charge some cents for plastic bags during wednesdays, so buyers are likely to bring their ecobags so they dont have to pay for the plastics! :)

A lot of shops here also use eco bags, no longer paperbags or plastic bags. The last pair of shoes I bought from one store gave me a huuuge eco bag that i use for big purchases. There's this one popular bookstore here that also gives out ecobags instead of plastic bags.
