This is phenomenal! I wonder how Babycakes managed to secure that deal.

PETA recently reported the exciting news that Disney World has closed its McDonald’s and replaced it with Babycakes vegan cupcakes!
Just imagine all the people from all over the globe who come through Disney World every year! All of them will have a chance to discover how great vegan treats are, and that much fewer people will be buying the nasty food McDonald’s makes.
What other vegan treats have you found at Disney theme parks?
This is phenomenal! I wonder how Babycakes managed to secure that deal.
ooh! awesome! i'll be hitting disney in a couple of months! love their brownie cupcake : )

One of the reasons I don't go to places like Disneyworld (I'm on the East Coast) is the food. Even before I became vegan I couldn't watch unhealthy people shoving in hotdogs with giant soft drinks in hand. Yes, I know there are more healthy options but they can be hard to find, terribly expensive and extremely low quality. In order to get the US back on track places like Disney need to not only offer healthy options but put them out front and publicize those options. I'm waiting for Mickey Mouse to give up cheese before I go back to Disney anything.

Lots of what is listed on this site is vegetarian but can be adjusted for vegans. I have also found that at all you can eat style restaurants, some times you can ask a chef to point out what is vegan on the buffet.
yay! I live in Orlando, so Disney World is just outside of town. I haven't been to Babycakes yet (there's actually an amazing Vegan bakery in Orlando city limits called Raphsodic Cooperative and I always go there), but one of these days I'll drive out to Disney to try Babycakes.
At all Disney sit down restaurants, if you call ahead (sometimes even just 24 hours), they can specially make something Vegan even if it's not normally on the menu. If you don't have time to call ahead, some restaurants may even have a separate Vegan menu. I ate at Sanaa in the Animal Kingdom Villas recently, and I asked the waiter what menu items are Vegan, and he brought back a separate Vegan menu that specifically lists everything that's Vegan (you just have to ask for it).
Yay!!!! My friends & I love cupcakes, but more importantly, I am so happy they replaced McDonalds! We need to get America eating right!

I LOVE LOVE DISNEYLAND. I am 53 and feel like a kid while I am there. The food at the park ROCKS! There are so many Vegan options to choose from. New Orleans Sqaure has three excellent restaurants. My favorite is the jambalaya from The Royal Street Veranda ~ YUMMY~ so spicey and delious! Disneyland is a place that my husband and I can "stay for the day" and I can eat happily!
This is fantastic news! I live in NYC and try to get downtown to BabyCakes whenever I can. Their apple coffee cake ALWAYS makes my day. Always!
