I finally after years of saying I was going to, planted sunflowers!  They have been amazing this season.  I am in a neighborhood in the middle of our city and have seen so many new birds come to my back yard to visit my sunflowers!  Also, the other day I watched a little squirrel run up the stalk and bend it over with his weight, then he plucked off the sunflower and took off with it in his mouth.  It was so cute watching him (or her)....lol..... likely was a female with all that thought process!  I am so glad I finally planted them, right behind my hubby's little garden.

I love sunflowers..It kind of makes me sad when they get so heavy they droop and can't stand up straight.  There is so much variety but they are all beautiful.
