Went for groceries yesterday. I did get miso paste, only ages 1 1/2 years, but it was Wegman's and I just wanted some. OK, does anybody order stuff on-line and is it cheaper than a whole foods store? I still need shoyu, an older miso, umeboshi plums and vinegar.

I'm brand new. I hope I am in the right place. I have for a long time wanted to give up all meat products and dairy products. I didn't know where to begin or how which probably sounds stupid.
I just bought the book The Kind Diet and am so excited to read it and get started with my new way of life. I will be here often and hope to get lots of recipes. I will be doing this on my own.

Just got the book last night and haven't been able to put it down. I gave up red meat and pork products about 20 years ago and would like to start cutting down on poultry and eggs.

Thank you for writing this book and for bringing veganism into my life in such an accessible way! I have been wanting to become vegan and have flirted with vegetarianism for years now, but I always end up falling off. I am really trying to be committed, and this book has already helped so much! I'm just trying to find some of the veggies and superhero foods (particularly sea vegetables, miso and umeboshi plum paste and vinegar) since I live in a small town. If you have any online sources or suggestions, I'd love to read a blog about it!

The issue that I have so far is, trying to stay away from the white sugar. It is like "crack", I keep coming back for more. Any ideas on how to detox from this and reduce cravings?
