I just made a great juice in my kitchen. It turned out so nice, it was more like a little cocktail.  Try it for a refreshing snack or a mid-day energizer.

I have this juicer by Waring Pro. It's a refurbished one and is pretty simple to use and to clean. You can put most of the pieces in the top rack of the dishwasher.

If you don’t have a juicer, you can get a used one. It’s a great way to save cash and help the planet. Any juicer will do the trick. I used to have the super fancy one that was so expensive… and it was so complicated, and at the end of the day I just didn’t love using it. So I’m happy with my simple juicer.

If you are going superhero, you may not need this juice all the time. It's just for fun or when you feel like it. I wouldn't have it more than 2-3 times a week.  Check out page 52 in The Kind Diet for the deal with overdoing things.

Carrot-Apple-Lemon-Ginger Cocktail

INGREDIENTS:

8 or 9 large carrots (this will make one big glass of juice... but you can probably get 2 smaller glasses out of it)
2 apples (I used 2 great big Fuji apples)
1/2 to 1 whole lemon (throw the whole lemon in if you have a powerful juicer!  If not, peel the lemon and then throw it in)
2 or 3 1-inch pieces of ginger
*you can add more or less of everything depending on your taste

Enjoy!

My daughter gave me a juicer years ago, (Braun MP80) and to be honest after a few uses it was put into the cupboard and has been gathering dust.  But of course that was pre-vegan.  I just tried this juice and it was great!  After I made it I realized that I had only put in one apple, but it still tasted great.  And to answer a previous post, my juicer instruction book says to peel citrus fruit like lemons.  I think I might be able to get my grandchildren to try this, and I'm pretty sure that it will be a hit.

Yummy :)   I usually make a smoothie/health drink containing:  Yogurt -bananas -egg -fresh/ frozen fruit - wheat germ & whatever juice you have available...zip it up in the blender & breakfast is done :)  You can substitute any ingredients if you like.  Enjoy   Carrot one sounds good & healthy!

Has Anyone bought the New Yogalosophy DVD by Mandy Ingber (Jennifer Aniston's instructor)???  It looks like fun & easy too :)   Trying to find it in Canada.  Is it available to buy here???  Thanks :)

Speaking of delicious juices...this is my absolute favorite!

2 celery stalks

handful of spinach

a lil' chunk of ginger (depending on personal taste)

and about three-four apples

the celery is surprisingly refreshing and makes it!

Surprising how tasty carrot juice can be :)

I used to drink carrot, apple, ginger juice all the time! I love that combo! I never tried it with lemon though. I will have to try that!

Wow.  I make a juice similar to this each morning and I LOVE it.  I add spinach and flax seed oil to the one I make.  My juicer is the Blendtec....I throw everything in, including the lemon, peel and all.  It does a fantastic job AND I get to keep all the yummy pulp in my glass of juice!

Looks like a good juice
