Vegan Benedict

During my first days back in LA from Detroit, I ran to M Cafe for breakfast. They have a delicious vegan benedict that I had been dreaming of for a while.

For years, I have to admit I missed eggs benedict a tad. One day I was in M Cafe, and I saw that they had salmon benedict. So I asked, "Hey do you guys think you can make a vegan one?" And out it came! Then I continued to harass them to put it on the menu, and yay, they did! It's so good. If you haven't had the vegan benedict there, you must run to M Cafe.

I also had my old favorite, the sweet potato salad with wasabi. I don't even like wasabi, but in this salad, it's so mild and delicious. They serve it with green beans and some pickles - sounds weird, but it's great. I tried a new item too - yummy warm biscuits (I think they were from Babycakes). If you haven't been to M Cafe for breakfast yet, run for the vegan benedict! That's what I do once a week.

What's your favorite restaurant in your hometown?

Does anyone know of a good veg restaurant in south Jersey? I know there are some in Philly but I rarely go to the city.

My husband is taking me to Sprig and Vine in PA for my birthday. I'm really excited since we've never been to a vegetarian restaurant before! But I'd like to find a place closer that we can go to more often.

Any suggestions?

The fire-roasted artichoke at Sublime in Fort Lauderdale makes me want to lick the bowl.  The chocolate nirvana is also amazing.  and the coconut cake.

I used to live in South Jersey, and unless a new vegan restaurant has opened up recently, I don't think there are any in South Jersey.

However, I highly suggest  a special  trip to Philadelphia...Horizons is my favorite restaurant in the entire world!!!

Looks DELICIOUS!! Mmmm x

My favorite here in Arizona (Tempe), Green- New American Vegetarian http://www.greenvegetarian.com/

I live in San Diego and my boyfriend and I's favorite restaurant here is called "Spread."  http://www.spreadtherestaurant.com/  They change their menu every night depending on what's fresh in the area and absolutely EVERY dish we have there is amazing!  They may have one or two things on the menu that have cheese, but it's a mostly vegan menu.  The guys that work there are super nice; I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone in the San Diego area!

O my goodness, there is this realy nice, small breackfast place in the beginning and stating point of melrose. and they only serve breackfats, but my Word the have great Pankaks..Health Pankaks

This recipe is delicious.  It's a little heavy on the soy products for me, so I replaced soy milk with cashew milk, and sometimes just leave out the tofu strips and it's still delicious.  Highly recommended!!
