Disclaimer! I did this video really quickly, so the production value isn’t amazing, but I wanted to share because I think Joel is great and his story is great.

Joel is an extremely successful businessman; his story really shows that veg diets are not just for hippies (but we all knew that)! This one is great for all of your dads to watch. So pass along to papas!

Joel mentions in the video that he occasionally misses certain non-veg foods, so I wanted to share the suggestions I gave him. For days when you’re feeling naughty, these might be the perfect foods to satisfy your non-veg cravings:

Chicken WingsMorning Star makes good chik'n products. And Gardein makes a great chicken scallopini that you can buy in the frozen section at the grocery store.

Hot Dogs at a Baseball GameCiti Field Ball Park in New York offers vegetarian hotdogs! Dodger stadium in LA also offers a veg hotdog. Woohoo! PETA has a handly list of stadiums that offer veg hotdogs too.

BrowniesAllison’s Gourmet brownies are great, and I bought an amazing one from Whole Foods once that I blogged about here.

What are your favorite “naughty” foods?

I love So Delicious Coconut Milk ice cream! It feels naughty, but it's vegan and so much lower in fat and calories than dairy ice cream, I feel good about enjoying it!

My Craving: The Chicago Diner's Cookies n' Cream cake. I get it at my local Whole Foods, and I bring a slice with me to birthday parties so I can have my cake and eat it too :-)  As for the comment about wine - I'm not a wine drinker, but there is a website...Barnivore.com...that has list of vegan wines and other alcoholic beverages.

Morning Star chicken is NOT vegan...they use egg in them.

Vegan junk food out in restaurants is my favorite guilty pleasure!  Doomies Home Cooking fried avocados or jalepeno poppers, Locali vegan reuben and Pure Luck's fried pickles top the list.  I like vegan pizza and I LOVE Purely Decadent ice creemz!

I really liked the part he said about putting his health as top priority. Thanks so much for this Alicia!! I sent it to my dad! -Lindsey

Aw..... i just love Frozen fruit with a smige of honey

The vegan donuts at Whole Foods!  YUMMY!

Yes, Michaela, you're right, Barnivore is a good resource to learn about vegan-friendly wines - I use it all the time and help to populate the list!

I meant that I'd never heard that if you make the effort to purchase vegan-friendly wine it would still be considered "non-vegan" to drink wine?  I thought that is what was being said...if not, oopsie, and yay, because I love living vegan AND I love vegan wine! xx

Favorite naughty foods are:

- cookies and cupcakes made from the box mixes by Cherrybrook Kitchen

- any of the vegan treats in the bakery cases at Whole Foods

- vegan buffalo wings at Red Bamboo in NYC!
