paperwink journals

The average American uses seven trees a year in paper, wood, and other products made from trees. This amounts to about 2,000,000,000 trees per year! People, that is waaay too many trees to be cutting down!

Now, I will admit, I'm still old-school in the fact that I appreciate the hand-written note and keeping a journal.  But I always use products that are made from recycled paper!  Like these notebooks and journals from Paperwink that are made from 100% recycled paper.  They are just so pretty!

Did you know that each ton (2000 pounds) of recycled paper can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, three cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy, and 7000 gallons of water. This represents a 64% energy savings, a 58% water savings, and 60 pounds less of air pollution!

Are there any cards, journals or notebooks that you like that are made from recycled paper?

Here are some Australian links:

I got a guest book made from here for my wedding

They make paper from all sorts of things: apples, recycled cotton/denim and poo too.

Also http://www.studioantic.com.au/ make recycled notebooks and cards.

Awesome Naomi! I prefer to buy local and unique, and their Roo Poo paper...definitely can't get it anywhere else!

Here is an interesting article on kenaf paper

I like Banana Paper. http://www.thebananapapercompany.com/

Ooh!  I just learned about this company:

https://www.perupaper.com

And here's a little blurb w/ a Coupon at the end!

Peru Paper Company
produces and sells high-quality, handmade stationery and paper
products from recycled materials, employing underprivileged and
marginalized women in Peru who would otherwise not have the
opportunity to make a livable wage to support their families.
Awesome, huh? Started by Grace Bateman as a
small craft project in Trujillo, Peru with just $100, it now
employs 16 Peruvian women and is transforming lives as they
discover new talents in design and business management, while
being uplifted by the dignity that comes with work and provision
for ones family. The products are great for personal or
professional use and make beautiful gifts and framed artwork, and
we love to do custom work. Their products were in Oscar swag
bags received by Sandra Bullock, Jeff Bridges, Oprah, James
Cameron, Morgan Freeman, and more. Use the code HARO at the
checkout for any purchase at www.perupaper.com now through the
end of July and receive 10% off your entire purchase!

Aw!!!!!!!!!!!! i never use papper...

the only time that ill need papper and use papper is when in doing a papper on a school or news papper when im doing my art..

You're absolutely right, Alicia. Germans use very much paper, too. Germany is the country with the most newspapers and magazines in the world. If you would batch the sheets of paper every German uses within one year the pack would be 16,000 kilometers high (9,942 miles). For comparison: The space station ISS levitates in 400 kilometers (approx. 248 miles).

i was taught paper was obsolete.
