If you are looking for any more vegan treats while in the Detroit area, try what crepe? in Royal Oak  and Sugar Kisses Bakery in Berkley....both have a selection of vegan treats...sometimes Sugar Kisses even has vegan truffles!

Yum!  I can't believe I haven't heard of Pinwheel.  I'm a big fan of Avalon Bakery in Detroit.  Their vegan date bars are my weakness!  Check 'em out...

Are you in Detroit?  For anyone in Detroit this weekend there is an adoption event at Catherine's Pet Parlor on Woodward just south of 13 Mile Road.  The Royal Oak Animal Shelter- http://members.petfinder.com/~MI151/events.html has many cats & dogs who are looking for a permanent loving home.  The shelter is a no-kill shelter that runs strictly on donations.  They will also have a presence at Arts, Beats & Eats in downtown Royal Oak Labor Day weekend.  Help us get these animals into homes!!

Also, if you love vegan treats try the Cupcake Station for vegan cupcakes.  Yum!!

My cousin and her husband live right off of 9 mile in Ferndale. (A huge fan of Alicia's book!)  I will have to tell her about Pinwheel, and check this place out when I go home to visit durning Christmas!

That sounds soooo yummy! I live in Columbus,OH and we are lucky enough to have the Pattycake Bakery.  It"s really great to have an awesome bakery that is all vegan. Anyone in town or just passing through must check them out! :-)
