Rescue Chocolate

So we all know that chocolate is not superhero, but it can be very vegan and very flirty, and there are certain times when you just gotta have some. If  you are ever feeling like you absolutely need your chocolate fix, Rescue Chocolate is a great option.

Founded in Brooklyn, New York in 2010, Rescue Chocolate is 100% vegan, and donates 100% of its net profits to animal charities. Every wrapper has a sweet little dog on it, and bars come in several flavors like Peanut Butter Pit Bull and Pick Me! Pepper! You can buy Rescue Chocolate online, or at stores in New York, San Diego, and Chicago (check out their website for a list of stores that carry Rescue Chocolate).

Rescue Chocolate has offered to give away a Chocolate Sampler to one lucky Kind Lifer! All that you have to do to enter is write a comment below telling everyone why you think it’s important to rescue dogs.

Good luck, and thank you Rescue Chocolate!!!

Rescued dogs (and cats) are the best!  I rescued my cats 12 years ago and they are the most loving companions a girl could ask for.  My husband has fallen in love with them too since joining our little family a few years ago.  All the rescued dogs I know have the greatest personality and seem to know somehow that they were "rescued" -- making them love you and their little doggie lives a bit more!  I can't say enough about how amazing it is to rescue a furry friend.  : )

Rescuing dogs is sooo incredibly important, because too many lives are wasted, when purchasing or breeding! I always encourage people to adopt, and help a shelter dog in need. The humane societies are overcrowded, and the number of euthanasia is devastating. Every time we buy, we are literally adding to the overpopulation... I have been volunteering for two dog rescue organizations over the past six years, and recently turned my passion for dogs into a blog as well! :) Love the Rescue Chocolate idea, thanks for sharing!

I have four dogs. Elvis he is going to turn 11 on January 8th. I got him from Valdez Animal Shelter. He is my buddy and I have so much fun with him. Toby is another rescue dog we have, he is 9 years old and still full of life and always looking for the adventure and little escape to visit the hood. Then there is my personal assistant - Meggie the pug. She follows me everywhere and she always is by my side, no leash required with her. My youngest child is Cruiser he is  2 year old Boston Terrier - he should be in the duracell commercial - he got the ears and he is loaded with never ending energy. Life with pets is so much better!

It's important to do a lot of things for dogs.  Bring one into your home to save one, sponsor spay/neuter programs to end the continuous overpopulation of dogs in the world, and end all breeding businesses.  Adopting a dog is the most amazing thing you can do for both the dog and yourself.  Our dog is from Northshore on Long Island.

I believe that we are connected to all animals and that each time we rescue one from cruetly or neglect we rescue a bit of our own souls.

I believe that since we, as humans, domesticated dogs, we have a responsibility to them.  They depend on us for their needs, and yet, humans are the ones who get more in return.

I totally agree! I am always looking for animals that need homes! @ 1 point i had 6 roosters ,2 chicken, 6 dosg, and 5 cats! :) and a iguana ,rabbit, hamster, and a beta fish! lol my heart goes to all of you who help save these incredible lives! Muah to you I say!!
